This Converter reads and writes models in the "render" file format saved from Pro/ENGINEER. It adds one entry in the conversion lists:

Geometry
The "render" file format contains only triangles.

To control how finely Pro/ENGINEER converts surfaces to triangles, adjust the chord height and angle control before exporting the SLP file.

Material attributes
Each triangle is assigned an RGB color, and materials are generated for each similar color.

Options dialog

Import section
By default, the Merge points checkbox is set and this merges (or welds) all points in all triangles. The alternative is that all points remain un-welded.

Export section
Because ".slp" files are ASCII, you can control the line ending.
